Our project with Renascence Studio bloomed from two sisters wanting to grow their brick-and-mortar fashion store into an online lifestyle concept. Their shared love of art and fashion unlocked the potential for a sustainable re-commerce emporium, weaving up-cycling and local luxury together.

Challenge

How do you create a luxury brand without compromising its sustainable focus? This challenge was at the heart of our branding project. The line between functionality and beauty needed to be drawn to elevate the luxurious feel of slow fashion. Once this brief was met, we turned our eye to making a website that would be scaleable for growth and would highlight every element of fashion to lifestyle and art cohesively.

Approach

Simplicity and functionality were key to building Renascence Studio’s luxurious brand. We approached this branding with a logotype that was clean yet gave the effect of being repurposed and remade by taking out elements of the letters. Frames were an important symbol used as windows into the one-of-a-kind products. We ensured our frontend website design complemented this elegant branding so customers could easily navigate between fashion, accessories and decor. And the backend? We developed it to be manageable for continual growth. 

Our packaging design was created with the client’s desire for minimal waste in mind. Carry bags were reusable. Bulky goods were covered with hex wrap paper. Water activated tape was used where needed. All steps were taken to create synergy between the brand’s ethos and the packaging that would end up in customers’ hands.
